When I arrived to help Casabella build its products catalog, there was a vast demand for products to be designed. As a result, it was common to design out of the blue products. The Flex dustpan was one of them. It was born from a dream I had on a very creative night. In my dream, I was showing my wife two new products that I had created, One was a carpet mop (that was never developed) and the other was a little flat dustpan. It was flat as a paper and when grabbed in its edges, it would bend and create a shape of a regular dustpan. The result was great. It was perfect to merchandise and was interesting enough to grab attention at the point of sale.
